Arrival at the airport. Meet and greet service at the airport by an English-speaking guide and transfer to the hotel. Overnight.
Greetings from the local guide at 9 o'clock in the hotel.
We will depart to the southern Armenian province Vayoz Dzor. In the afternoon we will arrive in the caravanserai of Selim. The mountain guide will welcome us and the varied riding tour will begin. Our destination for today will be the volcanic mountain Armaghan (2840 m). Despite the altitude, the volcano is easy to climb. We will unfold the crater and the beautiful lake, located on the mountain. From the top, we will have a marvelous view of the spectacular landscapes of Geghama mountains. After the day full of discoveries, we will descend to the foot of the mountain, where we will spend the night in the tents. Until then, we will enjoy the delicious specialties of Armenian cuisine and the beautiful evening around campfire accompanied by the Armenian Duduk music (Duduk is a famous national instrument).
After breakfast, we will ride through beautiful alpine meadows and unveil the splendid plateau of Argichi with its river. At the summer pasture Karats, we will take a break and get a closer insight into the everyday life of the locals. At the same time, we can participate in the preparation of cheese and other dairy products and, of course, taste delicious local products. Later, we will continue our riding to the holy place of St. Vardan. We will explore the unique architecture of the fortress, drink the cold, refreshing mountain water and then we will reach the summer pasture Sarnaghbyur. Afterward, we will have dinner. Overnight stay.
Today we will ride at the foot of the Geghama mountain range, admiring the unique landscape panoramas of Lake Sevan. The rinding will continue to the summer pasture Dzoragyugh, near the mountain "Little Spitakasar" (3443 m). Upon your wishes, we can climb the mountain. After dinner, we will have a relaxing evening. Meanwhile, our guide will uncover the customs and legends of the region.
Another riding day through the alpine meadows and beautiful panoramas at the foot of the picturesque mountain Spitakasar will begin. Next, we will have a rest time. In the evening we will experience Armenian barbecue enjoyment. At the campfire, we will taste the Armenian wine and breath the fresh mountain air.
Day 6 Spitakasar - Yeranos - Noratus - Hayravank - Lake Sevan – Yerevan
After breakfast, we will pack our tents and ride to the village of Yeranos, where the riding tour will come to an end. Later, we will drive to Noratus and cover the cemetery full of khachkars. On the way, we will explore the 9th-century Hayravank Monastery, located on the shores of wonderous Lake Sevan, "the blue pearl of Armenia". On the peninsula Sevana, we will visit the church Sevanavank with one of the five most holy cross-stones. Afterward, we will take a direction to Yerevan. Rest time. Overnight at the hotel.
Yerevan, one of the oldest cities in the world, invites you to an interesting city tour.
First, we will visit Matenadaran, where we will explore the magnificently illuminated manuscripts from the Middle Ages. Furthermore, we will admire the wonderful variety of hand-knotted rugs in the Megerian Carpets factory. After lunch, we will visit the Genocide museum and the memorial. In the evening you will have a free time. Take your time and prepare for the journey back home.
