ITINERARY

Day 1 Almaty
Arrival at Almaty Airport, transfer to the hotel, check-in, leisure time.

Day 2 Almaty City Tour
At 09:00 meeting with the guide in the hotel’s lobby.
After the delicious breakfast, we will have a city tour in Almaty: we will start from Panfilovets’ Park, dating back to the 19th century. Next, we will continue to the Ascension Orthodox Cathedral, which was built entirely from wood at the beginning of the 20th century. Later, we will discover the Green Market, which offers a great variety of tasty fruits and vegetables; passing through the Republic Square - the main square of the city with its magnificent modern architectural constructions. Afterwards, we will visit Medeu - the outdoor famous ski rink, also, we will explore its dam, which protects the city from the flood.
Return to the hotel. Dinner and leisure time.

Day 3 Almaty - Altyn-Emel National Park
Early in the morning, we will depart to the Altyn-Emel National Park, built in 1996 to preserve the natural and archaeological wealth of the site.
Among the curious things in this park is that one can count the Five Besshatyr Barrows "Five Tents", thus, probably called for the five big tumuli, which were partly discovered during the excavations.
Totally, there are 18 royal burrows on the territory of two km². Also, we will discover the "Singing Dunes", with 120 meters’ height and about 3 km length.
This sands usually start to “sing” in a windy weather, the voice of which reminds us of the organ’s music. From the top of the dune, we can admire the magnificent view of the surrounding area.

Day 4 Altyn-Emel National Park
After the breakfast, we will continue our exploration in Altyn-Emel National Park. This time we will discover the Aktau and Katutau Mountains, which are beautiful chalk hills of different colors: blue, red, white, pink, green, ultimately, it has been divided due to the erosion. Previously, it was located under the sea, this extraordinary landscape was formed for more than four hundred million years ago and covers an area of 30 kilometers.

Day 5 Altyn-Emel National Park - Kolsay Lakes
Early in the morning, we will depart to Kolsay Lakes. Also, called the "Pearls of North Tien-Shan", the three lakes meet in one cascade on the north slope of the Mountains. The biggest and the most beautiful turquoise lake is located at an altitude of 2552 m. The smallest one is situated on the top, it is surrounded by a fir wood from one side and by alpine meadows on the other side. The visitors will be impressed by its beauty, as well as by the variety of fauna and flora. They can reach the lowest lake by car. The water of this lakes is cold and clean. Small guest houses were built on the lake shore, in order to make this place very convenient for relaxation. It is also a wonderful place for horse riding.

Day 6 Kolsay Lakes
The day will be dedicated to the discovery of Kolsay Lakes. We will have a tour to the first lake situated at an altitude of 1818 meters above sea level. Later, we will head to the second lake, which is larger and more picturesque, it looks like a bowl of turquoise crystal nestled in the mountains. Finally, we will reach the last lake which is located at an altitude of 3000 m. From the top, one can admire a beautiful view on the border with Kyrgyzstan and particularly the Issyk-Kul Lake.
Free time. Overnight.

Day 7 Kolsay Lakes - Sharyn Canyon – Almaty
Early in the morning, we will discover the Sharyn Canyon. The beauty of this canyon is often compared to the Grand Canyon of Colorado. As a result of the erosion and alteration, this canyon has its unique shape, which will deeply impress and transfer us to the surreal world. The canyon stretches for 154 km along the Sharyn River, which is an ideal place for rafting. Also, here, we can find rare plant species that survived from the last Ice Age.
Return to Almaty, transfer to the hotel, check-in, preparations for departure.

Day 8 Return flight
Transfer to the airport. End of our services.
