Uncover the secrets of Tajikistan in a 19-day trip! It is an excellent choice to visit the best places and the most beautiful landscapes. During which you will explore the wonderful destinations from Dushanbe to Osh while passing through the Pamir Mountains on the way…Come and discover a country which is home to thousands of splendors.

ITINERARY

Day 1       Dushanbe (Tajikistan)
Arrival at Dushanbe Airport. Transfer to the hotel, check-in, leisure time.

Day 2       Dushanbe – Hulbuk - Qal’ai Khumb 
At 09:00 meeting with the guide in the hotel’s lobby.
In the morning, we will leave the capital and head to Qal’ai Khumb, meanwhile admiring the beautiful landscapes of the surroundings. On the way, we will visit the ancient settlement of Hulbuk (9th-11th centuries), it is worth-seeing archaeological complex and museum. The tour will continue along the Panj River, which is a tributary of the Amu Darya, by passing through different villages. After, we will have a picnic in nature’s embrace.
Check-in and overnight at the hotel in Qal’ai Khumb.

Day 3       Qal’ai Khumb – Khorugh 
On the route of our journey to Khorugh, we will pass along the Panj River and discover various villages. Our lunch break will be in a traditional restaurant to enjoy a tasty meal.
Overnight at a guest house in Khorugh and leisure time.

Day 4     Khorugh
Today, we will discover Khorugh (2200 m) - the capital of Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region. Here, we will visit the Regional Museum and the Botanical Garden (3900 m), which is the second highest one in the world.
Overnight in Khorugh.

Day 5       Khorugh – Eshkashem 
In the morning, we will depart to enjoy a relaxing time at the hot springs of Garam-Chashma. Later, we will pass along the valley of Wakhan River, while admiring the breathtaking view of the Pamir and the Hindu Kush. On the way, we will have an open-air picnic.
Overnight at a guest house in Eshkashem and leisure time.

Day 6       Wakhan Valley: Eshkashem - Yamg - Langar
The trip will proceed to the Langar Village. On the way, we will visit the Khakha Fortress is a memorial from the 3rd century AD, the shrine of Hazrat Ali, the Zoroastrian Fortress, as well as the hot springs of Bibi Fatima and Buddhist Complex, dating back to the 4th– 7th centuries. Later in Yamg, we will visit the home-museum of Ismaili Sufi (mystic) - the astronomer and musician Muborak Kadam Vakhani. Also here, we will see a stone next to his house, which he used as a solar calendar. Upon our arrival in Langar, we will explore the local petroglyphs.

Day 7     Langar – Jelandy – Bachor
After the tasty breakfast, we will visit the Bachor Village (3800 m), by crossing the picturesque passes of Khargush (4344 m) and Koi-Tezek (4271 m). Before arriving at the village, we will discover the sulphurous hot springs of Jelandy.
Overnight at a guest house in Bachor and leisure time.

Day 8       Bachor - Chapdar
We will continue the hiking in Pamir, by passing through the majestic landscape and natural lakes, which look like exclusive mirrors.
Upon arrival in Chapdar, we will spend the evening in the tents, while admiring the starry sky.

Day 9       Chapdar - Yashilkul Lake – Marjanay
In the morning, we will hike to Yashilkul Lake in order to discover the prehistoric stone circles and the ancient Islamic mausoleum. After the picnic, we will go to the meadows of Marjanay, located close to Alichur River.
Leisure time and overnight in tents.

Day 10     Yashilkul Lake - Bulunkul Lake
The trip will continue to the turquoise Bulunkul Lake. Upon arrival, we will enjoy a stroll around the lake.
Dinner and overnight at a guest house in Bulunkul Village.

Day 11     Bulunkul Lake – Keng Shiber
In the morning, we will take the direction of Keng Shiber, while discovering the Bash Gumbaz Caravanserai, a geyser and a very ancient Chinese tomb on the way.
Arrival at Keng Shiber, and overnight in pastors’ yurts while discovering the local life.

Day 12     Keng Shiber – Zorkul Lake – Kara Jilga
In the morning, we will continue hiking to Kara Jilga, while passing by Zorkul Lake, and later through the picturesque Bel Airik Valley (5015 m). If we are lucky, we will also see the famous Marco Polo from distance of 500-600 meters - the wild sheep of Pamir.
Overnight in the yurts in Kara Jilga.

Day 13     Kara Jilga - Jarty Gumbez – Shakhty – Murghab
We will head to the hot springs of Jarty Gumbez. Here, the surrounding nature is breathtaking. However, its beauty is more catching in June - July. After, we will hike to Shakhty Cave with interesting rock paintings dating back to the 8000-5000 BC. Later, we will continue by the car to reach Murghab Town, at an altitude of 3800 m, where we will spend our night in a guest house.

Day 14     Murghab – Jalang
This day will be dedicated to the discovery of Pamir Region, in the midst of the mountains, the glacial valleys and plateaus. Hence, we will start with a city tour in Murghab and pass by Lenin’s Statue as well as, through the local bazaar. After the tasty lunch, we will depart to Jalang’s pastures, by crossing Ak-Baital Pass (4655 m). Upon arrival in Jalang, we will find out the local petroglyphs and the cackle.
Overnight in yurts.

Day 15     Jalang - Karakul Lake
Early in the morning, we will move to Karakul Lake, which is one of the highest in Central Asia. Upon arrival, we will stroll around the lake and admire the picturesque panorama of the Pamir-Alay Chain.

Day 16   Karakul Lake - Tulpar Lake - Sary-Tash (Kyrgyzstan)
Our tour will continue to Tulpar Lake, by passing through Kyzylart (4282 m above sea level) on the border of Tajikistan-Kyrgyzstan. We will stroll along the lake.
Overnight in yurts in Sary-Tash.

Day 17     Sary-Tash - Osh (Kyrgyzstan)
In the morning, we will head to Osh City, by passing through different villages of Kyrgyzstan. Also, we will have an opportunity to taste the traditional beverage “koumys” and admire the view of Lenin Peak (7134 m).
Check-in at the hotel in Osh and leisure time.

Day 18     Osh
In the morning, we will discover Osh - the second largest city in the country and one of the most ancient cities in Central Asia. According to legend, Osh was founded by King Solomon 3000 years ago. Right in the heart of this city is Takht-e-Sulaiman Mountain, which is considered as the second Mecca for Muslims. Whereas, we will visit the National Museum of History and Archaeology, as well as the colorful Osh Bazaar, one of the largest markets in Central Asia, which is situated on the Great Silk Road.
