The Treasures of the Pamirs

The essential parts of this 14-day trip are the nature and history. During this journey, you will discover the lakes and mountains, the capital and villages of Tajikistan. Take a deep breath and delve into this wonderful adventure with comfortable shoes.!


Day 1       Dushanbe
Arrival at Dushanbe Airport. Transfer to the hotel, check-in, leisure time.

Day 2       Dushanbe City Tour
At 09:00 meeting with the guide in the hotel’s lobby.
The morning will be dedicated to discovering Tajikistan’s Capital - Dushanbe, which is the biggest city in the country. We will visit the city center and pass beside the impressive Monument of Ismail I - the founder of the Samanid dynasty (874-999), before heading to the green Rudaki Park and Tajikistan’s National Museum. Later, we will go to the Green Market, where we can find all types of Tajik spices.

Day 3       Dushanbe – Nurek - Qal’ai Khumb 
The day will start with a long scenic journey to the Qal’ai Khumb Village, while having several stops on our way. Like, we will have a relaxing time at the beautiful Nurek Lake and its dam, as well as, we will taste its grilled fish.
In the evening, we will arrive at the village and check-in at a guest house. We will have a barbecue for the dinner and rest.

Day 4       Qal’ai Khumb - Bartang Valley – Khorugh
Early in the morning, we will depart to the Bartang Valley. Whereas, we will hike on a medium level of difficulty while enjoying the discovery of the mountain lake and having a picnic in this magnificent place. In the afternoon, we will arrive at Khorugh - the center of Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region.
After checking-in at the hotel, we will have a dinner and leisure time.

Day 5       Khorugh – Eshkashem – Yamchun Fortress - Museum of Muborak-Kadami – Yamg 
In the morning, we will depart to Yamchun Fortress, built in the 3rd century BC. On the way to Eshkashem, we will discover the shrine of Hazrat Ali and Kah-Kaha Fortress. Upon arrival at the Yamchun Fortress, we will visit Auj Hot thermal baths, a sacred place which is well known for curing certain diseases. Also here, we will have an opportunity to admire the breathtaking view of the Hindu Kush Mountains in Afghanistan.
In the evening, we will arrive at Yamg Village and check-in at a guest house, leisure time.

Day 6       Yamg - Vrang PassIn the morning, we will discover the Museum of Sufi Muborak-Kadami Vakhani - the sage who was also a musician, singer-songwriter, astronomer and philosopher, as well he was considered as the father of the village. His mausoleum on the top of a hill is seen clearly from the center of the village. Later, we will hike to the Vrang pass while the donkeys are carrying our luggage.
Overnight in the tents.

Day 7       Karl Marx and Engels Peaks – Shakhdara Range
We will continue hiking in order to reach the two peaks named Karl Marx and Engels. Afterwards, we will descend to Shakhdara Valley, which is situated in Jelondy Village.

Day 8      Shakhdara - Lake Bulunkul – Alichur
We will start hiking to Bulunkul Lake at an altitude of 3800 m. Later, we will arrive at Alichur Town 3900 m. above sea level.
Overnight at a guest house.

Day 9       Alichur - Keng Shiber
In the morning, we will visit the Keng Shiber settlement.
Overnight in a pastors' yurt in order to discover their life way.

Day 10     Keng Shiber – Bel Airik - Keng Shiber
We will have a hiking day, whereas, we will ascend to the Bel Airik Pass, which is located at an altitude of more than 5000 m above sea level. From where we will admire the beautiful surrounding landscapes.
In the evening, we will return to Keng Shiber. Overnight.

Day 11     Keng Shiber – Murghab
The tour will continue to the Murghab City. During the city tour, we will pass by Lenin’s statue and through the local bazaar.
Check-in at a guest house. Leisure time.

Day 12     Murghab - Ak-Baital - Caravanserai Nikolayevski – Muzkol – Karakul – Osh
After the delicious breakfast, we will take the direction to Kyrgyzstan. By crossing the Ak-Baital Pass 4655 m above sea level, we will arrive at the ruins of the “Nikolayevski” Caravanserai. After climbing up to the top of Muzkol (5012 m), we will have a stop for lunch in the camp of Karakul Lake, situated at an altitude of 4300 m. After, we will visit the “Valley of Death”, just beside the Marco Polo sheep statue. Also, we will explore the "No Man's Land", a mystical rock wall between the former Soviet Union and China. In the evening, we will arrive in Osh by crossing the Kyzyl Art Pass.
Check-in at the hotel, leisure time.

Day 13     Osh City Tour
In the morning, we will start discovering Osh - the second largest city in the country and one of the oldest in Central Asia. According to a legend, this city was founded by King Solomon 3000 years ago. After, we will visit Takht-e-Sulaiman Mountain, which is situated just in the center and considered as the second Mecca for Muslims. Later, we will head to the National Historical and Archaeological Museum, and the colorful Osh Bazaar - one of the biggest markets in Central Asia, which is situated on the Great Silk Road.
Leisure time and overnight.

Day 14     Return flight
Transfer to the airport. End of our services.
