ITINERARY

Day 1     Yerevan
Arrival at Zvartnots International Airport. Welcome by the local guide and transfer to the hotel for check-in and leisure time.

Day 2      Yerevan City Tour: Yerevan History Museum – Megerian Carpet Factory
At 09:00 meeting with the guide in the lobby of the hotel.
Yerevan - one of the oldest capitals in the world will invite us for a nice city discovery. In the morning, we will start with an enjoyable visit to the Yerevan History Museum, which contains a valuable collection of more than 89,700 articles that shows the story of Yerevan since the ancient times until nowadays. The tour will continue to have a stroll through the city while marvelling the beautiful Republic Square with its magnificent buildings. Next, we will visit the Megerian Factory, in order to get acquainted with the creation mystery of the Armenian handmade carpets. Also, we will have a lunch at the factory’s restaurant, where we will be offered traditional dishes from the delicate Armenian cuisine. In the evening, we will discover the diversity in the Armenian jazz music in a renowned jazz club.

Day 3      Yerevan: Birthday Event - Garni - Geghard – Yerevan
Every year, during the second week of October, the locals and visitors celebrate Yerevan's birthday. Whereas numerous events take place in Yerevan during these two days, that reflects the daily life and the history of the city. For a short time, we will leave the capital to head for Kotayk Region, in order to discover Geghard, which is a cave monastery from the 13th century. Since 2000, this monastery was inscribed in the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Later, we will stroll to Garni - the pagan Temple of the 1st century, where we will have an opportunity to attend the religious concert performed by the Quintet Choir.
We will return to Yerevan and leisure time.

Day 4     Yerevan: Erebuni Museum - Birthday Event
According to that day program, we will visit historical and archaeological museum Erebuni. Next, we will participate in different interesting events. You will have a unique opportunity to participate in a pottery master class. Afterwards, we will go to a gourmet restaurant, where we can taste the savoury dishes of the Armenian cuisine. Any birthday cannot be celebrated without a cake; thus, we promise you a happy dinner with a very yummy cake.

Day 5     Yerevan - Closed Market Gum – Local Cooking Experience – Cultural Evening
The Armenian markets take an important part of the traditions and daily life of the Armenians. The day will start with a visit to the Closed Market, where you can find everything you desire: from the delicious fruits and vegetables, various spices and herbs, cheese and traditional bread, to the tasty special sweets and much more. While continuing our exploration about the Armenian cuisine culture we will take part in a cooking class with a host family. During this exiting experience, we will prepare a tasty dish and reveal some secrets about the cooking of the country.
Cultural evening.

Day 6     Yerevan – Matenadaran – Zvartnots – Echmiadzin – Aknashen – Yerevan
The day will start with an enjoyable visit to the Matenadaran Museum in Yerevan, which preserves thousands of ancient manuscripts with their timeless charm. Later, we will delve into the exploration of Echmiadzin – the most important religious center in Armenia. On the route of our journey, we will discover the ruins of Zvartnots Cathedral (7th century) in Armavir Region. It is the masterpiece of the Medieval Armenian architecture. Next, we will visit the Mother Cathedral of Echmiadzin, one of the first Christian churches in the world (301-303). The high time will be while having our traditional meal in Aknashen Village and participating in the preparation of Lavash - the traditional Armenian bread.
In the evening, we will return to Yerevan with amazing impressions.

Day 7     Yerevan: Ararat Brandy Factory - Free Day in Yerevan
On this day, we will visit Ararat Brandy factory, where you will learn the history of the premium quality Armenian brandy. Later, you will enjoy your free day and stroll along the beautiful, lively streets of Yerevan and experience its unique beauty by yourselves. Especially in the evening, when the "Singing Fountains" in the Republic Square are dancing to the tunes of Aram Khachaturian, Charles Aznavour and the masterpieces of Arno Babajanian music.
It will be the time to prepare your suitcases. Thank you for your visit and we are looking forward to hosting you in the nearly future.

Day 8      Return flight
Transfer to the airport. End of our services.
